The founder of Try Shooting, Matt Shepherd, is a third generation shooter who is very passionate about the sport of shooting. He is a current NSW State Team and Australian Palma team member. He has been selected to represent NSW for the past three consecutive tours in 2018 (WA), 2020 (Bris) and 2022 (Can) and the past two consecutive Australian Palma teams including winning the Palma World Teams Championship in Trentham NZ in 2019 and going for two in a row in South Africa in 2024. Matt has also won a prestigious Kings Prize (was the “Queens Prize” when the Queen was alive) in Canberra in 2022.
